Head of a Trust company

Salary:
The person chosen will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the trust company, providing the necessary leadership, direction and management. In addition, he/she will be responsible for a limited portfolio of clients.
The trust company based is in Bermuda is an international network of licensed trust companies that undertakes a broad range of trust and company administration services for private clients, corporations and charitable entities. It has affiliated offices in British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands.

Duties:
- Overseeing a team of Trust Managers and other personnel.
- Establishing and maintaining uniform systems and methodology for paper flow and administration of trusts and their underlying companies.
- Identifying training needs within the Company and implementing training as required.
- Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering legislation and regulations, and the Company’s related policies, in consultation with the Group compliance officer.
- Ensuring compliance by the Company with the Trusts (Regulation of Trust Business) Act 2001.
- Acting as the Company’s primary liaison with custodians and investment managers as circumstances warrant and cultivate and maintain relationships as appropriate.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in law, business or accounting. Preference will be given to candidates that are STEP qualified and/or with legal qualifications.
- A minimum of ten years experience in all facets of Trust Industry services to include fiduciary duties, Bermuda trust law (preferred) and business development and customer service. At least three years experience in a Senior Management position.
- The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate integrity and commitment to work ethics.
- The ability to exercise discretion and respect for confidentiality in all matters.
- Knowledge or qualifications in Corporate Administration and/or Company Law would be advantageous.
