Trust Officer

The Trust Officer within the Wealth Structuring Department will provide a high quality, efficient service to all fiduciary clients and manage client relationships effectively.
Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities
- To assist in the risk management process through the identification and reporting of specific risks or risk trends to Senior Management and meet all governance, risk management, controls and compliance requirements.
- To manage client relationships and be aware of new business opportunities; communicating with clients/Relationship Managers, Legal and Fiscal Advisors and undertaking fiduciary responsibilities.
- To assist Account Administrators with technical/procedural queries concerning the preparation of client accounts and control of receivables.
- To perform annual reviews in accordance with fiduciary policies and procedures using the fiduciary platform, Navision.
- Liaising with Private Bankers regarding the banking requirements of the entities under administration.
- Reviewing fee levels and client receivables charged to client portfolio, reporting fee levels to Senior Management and recommendation of increases. Raising invoices, chasing Client receivables and ensuring collection of debts. For clients with sufficient funds at Barclays, this process will be limited to debiting client accounts with the appropriate amount.
Education and professional qualifications
A good educational background is required, letter-writing skills and numeracy in particular. Formal professional qualifications (ACIB, STEP, AAT, ICSA) desirable.
Professional experience and business exposure
A minimum of three years’ in the field of Trust administration, and experience of handling clients on a day to day basis are requirements, together with a basic knowledge of book-keeping and accounts.

- Fluent written and spoken English essential
- Other languages desirable.
