Senior Administrator / Supervisor

Location: Jersey

Salary:

The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of a group of administration staff at varying levels and for delivery of specific beneficiary related projects. They will possess a strong understanding of the more complex transaction types and be competent in the execution of those transactions. They will be competent in explaining the implications of any recommended actions from a tax and trust perspective in a clear and comprehensive manner. They will be responsible for the supervision and development of staff within the team and for driving continuous improvements of process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervising, mentoring and developing the team
  • Ensure that all administration and client service issues are attended to in accordance with the department service standards and Procedures Manual
  • Competent in reviewing all types of recommendations received and determining the most appropriate action under any set of given circumstances
  • Manage the allocation of work within the team ensuring all recommendations are logged and delegated in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor team performance in relation to set service standards and escalate to management any deviations of a significant nature in order to limit complaints or compensation claims
  • Competent in the execution and training of other staff on all non standard transactions 
  • Competent in the execution of all transaction types

SKILLS:

  • Educated to A – level standard or equivalent
  • Previous experience of managing teams
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to collate and present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Manage upwards and downwards
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to allow for a good relationship with clients and colleagues
  • Possess the ability to identify cross selling opportunities that are appropriate from a trustee perspective
  • Confident in Tax and Trust Matters
  • Must set professional and committed example to the team
  • Show awareness of overall client and business objectives and how they need to be achieved
  • Competent IT skills with thorough understanding of spreadsheet / database use
