Senior Client Advisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALLIFICATIONS & EXPERINCE:
- Responsible for managing the financial accounts of high net worth investors in Western Latin American markets
- Make investment recommendations and provide portfolio management services
- Advise clients regarding investment strategies for equities, fixed income, foreign exchange as well as hedging strategies and alternative asset management classes
- Advise clients regarding investments in capital markets and identify potential considerations specifically in foreign exchange and interest rate/currency products
- Advise clients on various financial services including letters of credit, corporate actions, escrow accounts and precious metals
- Provide financial planning services to individual clients including trusts and estate planning
- Maintain client relationships as well as identify opportunities for new advisory assignments in new markets
- Monitor global financial market conditions including economic, political and legal environments to assess risk exposure
- Research changing client needs, individually and by segment, as well as market trends/development to identify opportunities for client accounts to increase market share and profitability
- Make recommendations for product development of new custom products and services to meet client needs
- Identify and develop strategic business plans
- Work closely with representative offices in Western Latin America and travel to client sites to conduct business activities and maintain key relationships
QUALLIFICATIONS & EXPERINCE:
- Bachelors (or foreign education equivalent) in Business or Finance
- 7+ years of work experience, which must include the following: managing Western Latin American high net worth client portfolios and asset allocation; growth mentality, very proactive with clients; proven track record in building a book and developing existing clients; strong network of prospective clients in the region (Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador or Central America)
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English and Spanish or Portuguese
- Committed to work in the Bahamas for a minimum of 3 – 5 years
- Has previously worked abroad and is able to quickly integrate and operate in a new and diverse environment
